The 3 -line RTD is more accurate than the basic 2 -line RTD temperature sensor, which is very suitable for most industrial applications. The 4 -line RTD is a priority selection sensor for laboratory applications with precision, accuracy and repetitiveness. There are two options that can connect the 4 -line RTD temperature sensor to PLC.

The first choice is to use the RTD-MA converter.

The RTD-MA converter (transmitter) is usually a better choice to connect the RTD temperature sensor directly to the PLC card.

1. Do not use different types of PLC input cards to reduce costs. 2. Some PLC cards are not allowed to calibrate the RTD channel separately.

Connect the 4 -line RTD temperature sensor to another method of PLC input.

As long as you need to connect the sensor line, you can connect the 4 -wire RTD temperature sensor to the 3 -line input. You can also connect to the 2 -line input by non -connected induction line.

For each induction line you do not connect, the accuracy of temperature measurement in the controller will be reduced.
