When designing mobile working machinery, it is difficult for many engineers to know exactly which type of temperature measuring instrument to use. This confusion is usually due to the considerable trade-offs between each type of measurement technology.
The four major categories of temperature measurement include indication, sensing, transmission and switch. Finding the right measurement tool is the first step in the application. The most basic temperature measurement form of mobile working machine in indication. The temperature indicator is synonymous with the use of a thermometer which is operated by a simple bimetallic spring. As the temperature on the machine rises, the bimetallic spring expands and then turns the pointer indicating the temperature. However, the thermometer has the advantages of low cost and simple indication, while the disadvantage is that the thermometer needs to be located at the measuring point. In most cases, this is impractical because the operator must stop the machine and then move to the indicated point to read the temperature.
In many cases, sensing uses RTDs or "resistance temperature detectors" to measure temperature by passing current through the RTD and reading resistance changes. In most cases, RTDs are made of pure metals, such as platinum or nickel, with known temperature resistance relationships. The advantages of using RTD to measure temperature are relatively low cost, no power supply, very solid and long service life. The disadvantage is that the "signal" from RTD is usually weak and may be affected by electromagnetic interference (EMI) or radio frequency interference (RFI), especially when the output line is not properly shielded. Another temperature measurement method of tf35 is to transmit and use the same RTD signal as above. One thing to remember when using transmission temperature measurements is that RTDs also regulate and amplify signals so that they are not susceptible to EMI and RFI. The advantage of using a transmitter is that it can provide a predictable strong proportional voltage or proportional current output signal. The output signal can be easily processed by airborne controller or computer. Unfortunately, the disadvantage is that the transmitter is more expensive than a simple RTD sensor, and the transmitter must be powered by the machine to operate. The last major temperature measurement category for tr33 mobile working machines is temperature switching.
The temperature switch uses various switching technologies, but the principle is the same. When the predetermined temperature is reached, the bellows or bimetallic disc, or even the fluid, will expand and activate the mechanical microswitch. The mechanical microswitch can open or close the circuit. Although different from the continuous signals of sensors and transmitters, temperature switches play a vital role in machine operation, which can turn the system on or off when a specific temperature is reached. The most notable machine operation is the cooling system, which starts when the temperature reaches the optimum design limit. The advantages of using temperature switches include cost efficiency, durability, no power supply and user friendliness. Conversely, among many factors to be considered by tfs35 when selecting temperature measurement for a mobile working machine, it is important to understand the operation to be performed for measurement and how the output signal will be processed to make this operation a reality.
