在 HVAC 应用中使用平均电阻温度检测器的价值 维连温度传感器The value of using average resistance temperature detectors in HVAC applications

In HVAC temperature measurement, a single point is sometimes not enough. The average RTD measures the temperature along the duct or cross-sectional area to provide more accurate information about the overall internal condition of HVAC equipment.
Resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) are common in piping and heat exchangers to help HVAC equipment operate more efficiently. However, when such devices have only one single point temperature sensor, the operator may face the risk of not seeing the big picture. One place may be significantly hotter or colder than others, or the air in the pipe may be stratified.

What does average RTD do?

In order to better understand the overall temperature in the pipe or heat exchanger, users can install average RTD temperature sensors along its length or span.
The average RTD temperature sensor has a long and flexible sheathed platinum ribbon that can be bent and coiled into any configuration. Its Pt100 temperature sensor measures temperature along the entire length of the wire, thereby minimizing the risk of overheating or undercooling readings in gas compressors, air exchangers, and HVAC components.

Average RTD temperature sensor

Maintained average RTD temperature sensors are widely used. They measure temperatures in a wide range - from − 40 ° C to+200 ° C - and can be customized to suit almost all HVAC applications.
The standard length is 1.2m, 2.1m) and 4.6m, but the factory can trim them to the customer's exact specification. The sensors are encased in a flexible armor made of 316 stainless steel, which means they can be inserted directly into the process. They have access protection and FM (FM Global) and Ex explosion-proof certification, and can be used in explosion-proof hazardous locations.
The 3-wire or 4-wire configurations provide different levels of accuracy, precision and repeatability. The sensor may or may not have a connector. Optional terminal blocks reduce the risk of loose connections.
The average RTD maintained is available in direct mount (TR10) or remote mount (TR15) versions. The TR15 can be equipped with armor extensions up to 100 feet (30.5 m) long to penetrate into HVAC units. This model can also choose digital programmable transmitter to convert resistance output signal.
The installation is simple: just fix the average RTD with clamps or ties. It is also easy to replace, because customers only need to order another sensor, instead of purchasing another terminal head.
