Guidelines for wires and cable insulation and coverage
What kind of thermal insulation material? | Use temperature range | Application Description |
---|---|---|
PVC | -10 ° C to 105 ° C | Good general insulation "light" environment. Waterproof and very flexible. |
PFA (Squeeze) |
-75 ° C to 250 ° C | Oil, acid, other harmful substances and liquids. Good mechanical strength and flexibility. PTFE is more suitable for steam/high -pressure environment |
Polytesterafluorolythery (Tape and parcel) |
-75 ° C to 250/300 ° C | Oil, acid, other harmful substances and liquids. Good mechanical strength and flexibility. |
Glass fiber (paint) | -60 ° C to 350/400 ° C | Good temperature range, but it does not prevent liquid from entering. Quite flexible, but it cannot provide good mechanical protection. |
High -temperature glass fiber | -60 ° C to 700 ° C | can withstand temperatures up to 700 ° C, but cannot prevent liquid from entering. Quite flexible and not prevent physical interference. |
Ceramic Fiber | 0 to 1000 ° C | can withstand high temperatures up to 1000 ° C. Do not prevent liquid or physical interference. |
Glass Fiber (Paint) Stainless steel |
-60 ° C to 350/400 ° C | Good anti -physical interference and high temperature resistance (up to 400 ° C). Will not stop liquid from entering. |
In order to obtain the maximum accuracy, the extended cable should be used, and the terminal and connectors should be made of thermocouple materials to maintain continuity.
